Tailoring:
Truly a craftsman fabricates each furniture component. Fabric not only covers
the surface but extends beyond the joints to ensure exact fit and to make sure
there are no parts of the frame exposed. As opposed to uni-frame construction
where you have to tuck, fold, and crease which sometimes can result in
unsightly puckers or pull marks.
Strength:
By utilizing bolt-on construction we double the amount of frame strength around
the arm area. The seat is constructed in a box like configuration to hold the springs
up independently. Then, when the arm is bolted to the frame, you get a doubling of
the strength where you need it most, arm to frame joint.
Serviceability:
In the event that one area of a sofa is damaged to the point that the fabric is going
to need to be replaced, it's much easier and cleaner to remove the damaged
component and repair.
Longevity:
It is possible over a long period of time that the joint between the arm and the seat
on a uniframe construction can begin to come lose, which is where 90% of squeaks
occur. Using bolt on construction, utilizing bolts with lock washers, we eliminate
squeaking and arm fatigue.
Hospitality:
If you look at the construction of furniture made for commercial use, you'll find it's
made in this method. It holds up better in high traffic use areas.
